G has some pretty interesting ideas.

Homecoming is this friday, im sooper excited :)
and our first competition is just outside of asheville, NC, the next day.
if we get high guard kristin will wear a dress and makeup to the next game. i doubt we’ll get that at our first competition, but i certainly expect some sort of achievement.

zach has gotten me addicted to motion city soundtrack. ill be sure to ask for some itunes credit for christmas to get some mcs, weezer, coldplay, and hellogoodbye.

theres too much drama.
because of a parent’s complaint, colorguard now has to be chaperoned during class. and since our coach has another job and cant get off work, the only other person who is available is the drumline/percussion guy. so we have to be within his sight. and now when we’re practicing nobody can hear the other because of how LOUD the drums/pit are and we all start fighting about the counts because half of them cant keep a constant beat and some people dont even know the flagwork.

so now 2 people will be out of the show on friday because there is no way on earth that you could learn all the work we’ve learned (up to tempo) and put it on the field with their sets in 2 1/2 hours. Maddy, maybe, but not the other. Who is sadly a senior and not one of the better girls on the guard.

im painting an awesome picture of wall.e on foil and G wont let me turn it in as a homework grade. i bet if i can get her to go see it while shes out of town this weekend she would appreciate it more.

in english i only had a pen for the julius caesar test. so when our teacher offers out pencils, she laughed when i raised my hand. ‘the smartest kid in here, and one of the smartest in the school, doesnt have a pencil? now thats funny.’ i know im pretty high up in the class but definitely not the school. after all, im only a sophie :)

and arent teachers not allowed to pick favorites?

i find that funny.

Spare Change?

August 11, 2008, 7:14 pm

Hola! As most of you know I am in the Bearden High School Marching Band. This year we’re having our 22nd annual Car Wash this Saturday, August 16th from 9AM-5PM. It’s at the Office Depot on Kingston pike, just look for lots of wet band kids and bubbles. :P
(rain date:august 23rd, same times)
We normally wash about 1000 cars throughout the whole day and its all for free, but we mainly raise money through sponsorships. A typical sponsorship is like $15-20 but you would be my best friend ever if you donated more than that. We use the money to pay for transportation to games and our many competitions(that we do pretty darn well in), new uniforms, and new equipment. Checks can be made out to Bearden Band and you can message me for my address if you need it.
I’m trying to raise somewhere over $400 which breaks down as followed; $125 school band fee, $150 band booster fee, roughly $100 uniform price, and we haven’t been given the price for the sweat suits but they aren’t free either.

Any amount donated would be a huge help.

Thanks for reading :)

waiting for breaking dawn

August 1, 2008, 10:40 pm

im at barnes and nobles right now (yay for wifi)
theyre just about to call for people to get in line for the new twilight book, breaking dawn. im number 17 which is awesome because at the harry potter 7 thing i was 203.. i feel pretty accomplished. moms taking a picture of me right now. and again. and again, at a different angle. wait, one more. uno mas. and again. does the camera not get tired of taking pictures of the same subject over and over again? maybe thats how theyve progressed in camera business. in the labs, they take pictures of one thing overandoverandover again until the camera gets tired of it and makes it be a perfect picture every time.

July 31, 2008, 11:21 am

technically its the day after tomorrow because of the whole midnight thing, but whatever. i was really hoping to go to borders, all the harry potter parties there have rocked so you can only imagine what all theyre gonna do with the Twilight parties. theres still one if not two more to come out. but im going to barnes and noble instead because i totally forgot to pre-order it and borders is all out.

-’monster’ in scooby doo
i should hope we’ve learned more about technology since then.

this would be one of those moments in scooby-doo where shaggy is completely oblivious and scooby is an ice cube and then shaggy goes “oh crap the monsters right behind me isnt it?” and it is. then they run.

soo… hunnggrryy….

July 29, 2008, 10:34 am

food.. gone… not even cereal. i may go make some eggs. or something in a can. or get some ice cream. thats pretty much my food horizon at the moment.
elysia left her bra here, and im hoping i can use that as an excuse to go to the mall for a few small hours before she leaves for SMF (again). she may need it for riding. who knows how many she has? this is a serious crisis. she may be unable to ride sutton one day all because she ran out of bras.. because i wasn’t able to return this one. its a zebra-stripey, too. she could ride in fashion. what a cruel world. unless mall is a yes. i have to call her, anyway i dont know if she has power yet from last nights storm (im assuming so.)

first week of band camp ends tomorrow. sweetness. all-guard sleepover friday as well. it shall be awesome. also, ramen is delicious. and someone at sonic is a genius and knows the perfect amount of ice to put in a cup to not make the drink too watery. kudos.
ok so on my friends profile he has funny quotes and stories and such. i absolutely have to share these with the world. theyre down there *points down*

IronChef Foicite: well, there’s a lot of reasons
IronChef Foicite: i mean, roses only last like a couple weeks
IronChef Foicite: and that’s if you leave them in water
IronChef Foicite: and they really only exist to be pretty
IronChef Foicite: so that’s like saying
IronChef Foicite: “my love for you is transitory and based solely on your appearance”
IronChef Foicite: but a potato!
IronChef Foicite: potatos last forever, man
IronChef Foicite: in fact, not only will they not rot, they actually grow crap even if you just leave them in the sack
IronChef Foicite: that part alone makes it a good symbol
IronChef Foicite: but there’s more!
IronChef Foicite: there are so many ways to enjoy a potato! you can even make a battery with it!
IronChef Foicite: and that’s like saying “i have many ways in which I show my love for you”
IronChef Foicite: and potatos may be ugly, but they’re still awesome
IronChef Foicite: so that’s like saying “it doesn’t matter at all what you look like, I’ll still love you”

lib1790> so, at this college there was an extra credit question “Is hell endothermic or exothermic”
lib1790> this is what one kid wrote:
lib1790> First, we postulate that if souls exist, then they must have some mass. If they do, then a mole of souls can also have a mass. So, at what rate are souls moving into hell and at what rate are souls leaving? I think that we can safely assume that once a soul gets to hell, it will not leave. Therefore, no souls are leaving.
lib1790>As for souls entering hell, lets look at the different religions that exist in the world today. Some of these religions state that if you are not a member of their religion, you will go to hell. Since, there are more than one of these religions and people do not belong to more than one religion, we can project that all people and all souls go to hell. With birth and death rates as they are, we can expect the number of souls in hell to increase exponentially.
lib1790> Now, we look at the rate of change in volume in hell. Boyle’s Law states that in order for the temperature and pressure in hell to stay the same, the ratio of the mass of souls and volume needs to stay constant.
lib1790>So, if hell is expanding at a slower rate than the rate at which souls enter hell, then the temperature and pressure in hell will increase until all hell breaks loose (i.e.,Hell is exothermic).
liv1790>Of course, if hell is expanding at a rate faster than the increase of souls in hell, than the temperature and pressure will drop until hell freezes over (i.e.,Hell is endothermic).
lib1790>So which is it? If we accept the postulate given by Ms.Therese Banyan during my freshman year, “That it will be a cold night in hell before I go out with you,” and take into account the fact that I still have not succeeded in having a relationship with her, the second case cannot be true. Therefore, hell is exothermic.
lib1790> the kid was the only one who got credit
